Our Kitchen Renovation Process

A kitchen renovation should feel exciting, not chaotic.

At Kitchen Guys, we guide you through the full process, from first call to final handover. You will know what is happening, what comes next, and who is managing the work.

Our job is simple: design, supply, manage, and install your kitchen with clear communication from start to finish.

Built to remove renovation chaos

Most renovation stress comes from unclear decisions, poor scheduling, and weak communication. Our process is built to avoid that.

Clear scope

We define the work before the job starts, so you know what is included, what is not included, and where allowances may apply.

Managed trades

We help coordinate cabinetry, benchtops, plumbing, electrical, tiling, flooring, installation, and finishing work.

Straight updates

We keep communication practical, so you know what is happening now and what comes next.

Our process in 8 simple steps

Here is what working with Kitchen Guys looks like, from the first chat through to your finished kitchen.

1. First call or enquiry

We talk through your kitchen, what you want to change, what is not working, and whether you have a budget in mind.

2. Site visit and measure-up

We visit your home, measure the space, check the layout, and look at plumbing, electrical, flooring, walls, and access.

3. Design direction

We help with layout, storage, cabinetry style, benchtops, splashback, flooring, fittings, lighting, and finish level.

4. Scope and quote

Once the direction is clear, we prepare the quote and explain the main inclusions, exclusions, and allowances.

5. Booking and ordering

After approval, we confirm the schedule, order key items, book trades, and prepare the work sequence.

6. Demolition and preparation

We remove the old kitchen and prepare the space for installation, including required repairs or trade changes.

7. Build and install

Cabinetry, benchtops, plumbing, electrical, tiling, flooring, appliances, and finishing details come together in the right order.

8. Checks and handover

We check the final details, walk through the finished kitchen with you, and make sure the result is ready to use.

What we handle

Kitchen renovations have a lot of moving parts. We help bring those parts together so the process feels clear and controlled.

This may include design guidance, demolition, cabinetry, benchtops, plumbing, electrical coordination, tiling, flooring, installation, finishing work, and final handover.

What we need from you

You do not need every answer upfront. We help guide the key choices.

Before the project starts, it helps to have a rough budget range, photos of kitchens you like, a list of what you dislike about your current kitchen, appliance choices if you already know them, and any must-have storage or layout features.

The smoother the decisions, the smoother the renovation.
